Simply because in terms of CO2 emission there is a 20 % gain compared with diesel.
Based on the assumption that the EU wants a 30 % reduction in emissions over the next 15 years.
With this solution we have already reached 70% of the target
Another important point is the noise level
The noise level is extremely low and can easily be compared with that of a passenger car.

Shell expects the demand for LNG to increase and is therefore working closely
with lorry manufacturers, customers and policy makers to promote the use of LNG as a cleaner, inexpensive transport fuel.
The station in Herstal is therefore also an important step in the further expansion of the LNG network in Europe.

This is the first service station of its kind in Wallonia and therefore an example to be followed.
If we want to avoid using diesel in the future, or not use just diesel but alternatives that make it possible to reduce greenhouse gases and emit fewer fine particles, then here we have a practical solution with technology that is known to be efficient.
